shirts, etc.

Okay, so here’s the deal:
I have 3 rough t-shirt ideas, which you can look at here. Vote on which one you’d like best in the comments, and it’s one step closer to happening! Once a design is picked, we’ll start taking preorders.

(EDIT: I probably should mention that the third shirt would cost a bit more, as I would have to silkscreen it myself due to the placement of the design. However, it wouldn’t be any trouble to have two options, since the non-button designs I can get printed up easily.)

On another note, THANK YOU. Thank you all so much for bearing with the switch to a two-day-a-week schedule. I can’t even tell you how much of a difference it made stress-wise to have that extra time. I’m already ahead by a day now (finished Tuesday’s comic! woo!) and hope to be able to get ahead even further. It’s just… it’s wonderful. Thank you thank you thank you!

The third one, totally (the one with the buttons). That would be one awesome t-shirt.

  2. Puriridevry says:

Defiantly the last one with buttons.

  3. Christine says:

the first one…the third one would probably cost a ton for the buttons

  4. Jingles says:

Buttons, methinks. I think it would look good in grey or blue.

  5. Stephanie C says:

    buttons!

  6. Marvin | Paranoid Android says:

The Uniform (a.k.a. third one a.k.a. the button shirt)

I’m assuming the buttons will be silkscreened (or something of the sort) and not be actual buttons.

  7. Hilary says:

    Number 3, most definitely.

  8. Kristy says:

    definitely the last one!

  9. Christina says:

    I vote the first one!

  10. Hannah says:

The first, or the third one!
    Or both!!

  11. Elizabeth says:

Ooooo Nifty. I like the first or Second one!! I actualy Don’t like the third one anywhere near as much, not my style I don’t think I would buy it..(aparently I’m like te only one XD)
Or a shirt with Design 1 on the front, and Design 2 on the back, or reversed would be Cool!
I love you guys and would definatly purchase shirt 1 or 2!

  12. Alex says:

Third, I say. It has a wonderfully innovative feel to it.

  13. Zach says:

I really liked the second one, though maybe that’s because I’m taking a typography class. Awesome work on all three and good luck with school.

  14. Redd says:

I like the third, but only if there are actual buttons. xP Maybe if we end up with that one, I could just sew some buttons on myself. And I’ll make sure to soak ‘em in vinegar first…

Otherwise, I like the first shirt.

  15. Wynne says:

I like the second, with the third running a close second. Only my rampant, 2nd-amendment bashing liberal sensibilities keep me from tying the first with the third, though they’re both awesome.

On three: I love it, but it kind of reminds me of those tuxedo shirts. That’s not bad, just unexpected.

However, since I lack the required PayPal account, maybe you’re better off listening to currently paying customers, though if I could I’d definitely get all three.

  16. Amy says:

    first one :)

  17. Reen says:

The first one or third one, totally.

  18. Sarah says:

I love the idea of the third one a lot! However, I also like the second – crinolines!

  19. Smedz says:

personally i like the third and first ones, i would recomend takign the third one and placing the logo somewhere on it.

  20. hughmercer says:

I like all of them, but I would vote on the 2nd and 3rd

  21. Reen says:

Although, I have to admit, I like the second one, too. I think sticking the first one on one of the others…like if the second was on the back, the logo on the front, and the logo on the back of number three, &c.

  22. kelly says:

I really love the third one! The first was is also very nice though :)

  23. Rachel says:

I would actually buy the middle one, I think. “CRINOLINES!” did it for me. Oh, and just a thought–I liked that “di-vided” was split on the end of the line (it was clever), but splitting “cur-rent” distracted from it.

  24. Kelly Anne says:

Sorry for the extra trouble, but totally the 3rd one.

  25. Natasha says:

Third is innovative, but the first is the one I’d buy if it was an option.

  26. open.window says:

I really love the first one :D Especially because its something that i wouldn’t mind wearing on a daily basis, because it doesn’t scream history geek too much, even though I am one :) And come on, its the logo!!! I think the 1st one is awesome…

  27. Riesiel says:

I would say the first or the third. The second has just a bit too much on it.

  28. Alyssa says:

First or third. I like the third the best, especially if you did it like the Mt. Vernon Revolutionary t-shirt… which actually I’m unable to find a picture of. Drat.

  29. Seanan says:

I like the middle one that says “EXTRA!”

  30. Holly says:

I definitely love the third one!

  31. Mason010 says:

ZOMG #3 the one with the buttons! I’ll pre order 2 like NOW! and the 1st one (the logo) i would buy both actually! no prob.

  32. Neph says:

Second one, definitely. :) I love the old-timey feel of the printed text and everything. I’m a nutter for fancy words, what can I say?

  33. sendaigrrl12 says:

Middle one. The “Pressing question” is just hysterical… and really makes you wonder what if

  34. KW says:

The first or second. I wouldn’t wear the third. I think I like the second one best, it’s just too funny.

  35. Ireny says:

I would really, really love a combination of the first and second – say, the first on the front and the second on the back.

  36. Felicity says:

Either the first or third one; I love them both.

  37. Aluria says:

1st and 2nd together! 1st on the front with 2nd on the back!

  38. Tig says:

I thought I liked the first one best, until I saw the third one. I vote for 3! =)

  39. Nina says:

I like the idea of a 1 and 2 combo.

  40. Mason010 says:

21 votes for #3 The Uniform look is EPIC!! #3 all the way!!!!! i would buy a shirt that had #1 on the frnt and #2 on the back tho…

  41. CJ says:

I love the third one! I too am assuming they’re not gonna be real buttons. Even so, it would still look sweet. In grey or blue is a must.
You could even incorperate the logo from the first one and put it on the back of the button shirt (like the upper back, toward the neck)

  42. Emowerewolf says:

    third one totally!!!!!!!!

…what about a sack coat design or a shell jacket design one. i would totally buy it though!!!

  43. Kelsi says:

    The second, definitely!

  44. AnnoyedWabbit says:

I vote for the first one!

The second one is too wordy for my tastes, and the third one just doesn’t do it for me. But I really like the first design. It’s a classy little logo that both explains a little of what the comic is about and leaves stuff to the imagination.

  45. Ruby says:

definitely the second one, but the first over the third. i think the third one is great, but as someone said earlier, it calls to mind fake-clothes-clothes, and i don’t think i’d ever wear it.

  46. Hope says:

I think the third with the first one on the back would look cool.

    Wait does tht make sence?
