Beautiful coloring job! And I love the little Jeremy cameos here :D

  2. Rick in Mexico says:

Great evocation of that moment when when we get the first taste of What We Were Born To Do. Jeremy’s a lucky guy (in more than one way). I wonder what the local beer is at Dovecote Crest (panels 2-3).

    • Bridget says:

      It’s actually a sasparilla soda ;)

      • Rick in Mexico says:

Well, that shows you how much in the gutter my mind is. You used to be able to buy sarsaparilla in Maine, where I’m from, but I haven’t seen it there for years. By the way, Bridget, is this re-creation happening anyplace in particular?

      • Bridget says:

Since Dovecote Crest is very loosely based on the battle of Pea Ridge, Hailey placed us somewhere in Arkansas. Nothing much more specific than that though :)

  3. Jen says:

Ben looks like he’s ready to jump the fence. “LEMME TRY THAT!!!”

  4. Squirrel says:

    It’s real!

  5. Velincia says:

GUNS> FIGHTING DEATH! and Ben’s just like, “I love this. I need more!”
I love his expression in panel 11.
    I love this comic!

  6. Katsuya says:

BenĀ“s expressions are absolutely priceless!!!! And guns? It all makes sense now!

  7. Hope says:

    Yay for updates!

Man, I missed this comic, I’m so glad it is back. :)

  8. Hope says:

I love this page so much I don’t know where to begin….

  9. Crimson says:

OH MY GOSH. SO MUCH JOY. *dies*

  10. dadman says:

I’m with Hope: I have missed your work sooo much. Thank you, both of you. The pacing, the coloring, the emotions so evident. It’s a real rip-snorter. :)

  11. Enna says:

    I love Ben’s expression, he’s practically drooling.

  12. Lily says:

    Oh, Ben.

Good to have the comic back up and running!

  14. Cheryl says:

I know the feeling, Ben. I know the feeling.

  15. doug says:

This one of Ben reminds me of how I got started in reenacting or wanting to be. I thought it was awesome to see the people dressed out. I lost track of you guys a while back but I’m back again. You need to do a 3rd book.
