What a visually stunning landscape, I love it! The whole scene has a serene sort of motion to it, the use of light is also fantastic, reminding me of how cool those scenes were transitioning to night a few months ago.
Crap. Sorry. I got to the sound effects at something like 5am last night, and, well, bird wings kind of sound like that and my mind wasn’t in the gutter at the time. Removed for now X(
I love this page! Especially the clouds, they look so surreal and soft.
Also, I wouldn’t worry about the sound effects. I didn’t even think anything other than ‘bird’— I don’t know if onomatopoeia unrelated to dirty things can actually be dirty.
Beautiful perspective in the second bird panel, by the way :)
Oh, you cannot leave me hanging like this! This is a stunningly beautiful picture, I just love it! Hi, I’m new, by the way. New to commenting, that is; I’ve actually been followig this comic for a while now.
Definitely a button from a Confederate uniform. Dastardly bird! Flying off with what is probably the only physical bit of evidence that anything happened up there!

Oh, and first,
I wonder how long hes gonna wait to tell someone? It would be eating me up inside.
This has got to be one of the most gorgeous pages of this comic yet ^^ It’s so lush!
Oooooo. Gonna be a bitch if ever you take this for print, though. Heh. ^_^
That is… an interesting choice of onomatopoeia.
Yeah, I noticed that too… :-/

I would keep it off. Adding it back will break the elegance of the are. Besides we already know that birds make noise when they flutter away
Either it’s springtime for that bird or someone likes bird watching waaaay too much just off frame.

…these comics are supposed to have sound effects? O_o
I feel like this should be hanging on a wall, its beautiful!
wow! that is awesome and you did that in photoshop/illustrator!!! Rock on with your bad self!!!
So beautiful! Did anyone ever tell you your landscapes and details are beyond amazing!
If I may, though, what sound effect are you guys referencing?
button or a medallion type thing? curious and curiouser
I’m gonna say…. Cufflink?
And heeeeeey. >( Where’s Tess?
Gazing into the eyes of a certain dashing young teacher, no doubt.
Ooooh. Pretty! The beauty of this page totally succeeded in distracting me from the giant, ghostly cliffhanger of the previous scene.

…Please tell me that will be a poster soon.
Suddenly I regret not taking a screen shot of the first version.
I think it looks better without the sound effects keeps the art throughout very continuous for the reader. Still, very beautiful.
Bridget, you are a genius. This is absolutely stunning.

Damn bird, stealing clues.
Heh. The ornithologist in me just went “oooh! A Northern Mockingbird!.”
