    Angry Charlie is angry. :)

Rage on, girl! More Molly Pitcher than Shrinking Violet…

  2. Gavin says:

    CUUUUUUUTE

  3. Alli says:

HAHAHAAAAAAAA “…is it for the shouting or because I said shit?” Dying.

  4. Natalie says:

In a lot of ways I agree with Charlie, I found it more disheartening when my history class would tack on a really random and ‘minor’ achievement like a; “and this one girl, named Sally or something was there too.” after they talked all the big acts of men. Throwing in a less significant achievement for sake of gender equality just makes women seem less important than if they weren’t mentioned. Plus discussing why women didn’t have rights and say is far more interesting than throwing in an obligatory girl who warped a bandage around someone.

There are many significant women in history, from the American Revolution off the top of my head I can name the Daughters of Liberty, Abigail Adams, Deborah Sampson, Sybil Ludington, and Prudence Wright (she was captain of at least 30 women who defended their town from Tory spies, including her brother)

Is that Tess towards the back?

  5. dot says:

Omigod! These pages just keep getting better and better! I mean, really, I absolutely LOVE the background! It so looks like a teenage Charlie in so many ways. Like seeing all the random school kids in there too-is that Tess in the 1st panel? She looks pretty darn scared (‘specially in the 6th panel).

Love the joke at the end!

This comic is my all time favorite! Keep up the awesome pages! :)

  6. Ozzymandyas says:

    It’s so true! Lovely Comic!

  7. getoffthecouch says:

LOVE the teacher’s face!! bahahahaha, priceless…

  8. wynne says:

    Don’t make Charlie angry… You wouldn’t like her when she’s angry… :D

Please tell me this is based off of some sort of personal experience.

  9. Leah says:

Haha, I love this :) Go Charlie!

Reminds me of when I got sent to my guidance counselor to talk about “respect” when I disagreed with my history teacher in high school once, heh… Funniest part was he didn’t think I’d done anything wrong, just advised me to keep my mouth shut so I wouldn’t get in trouble with the teacher again!

  10. xscythe7x says:

Do i spy tess in class??

  11. Zovesta says:

I liked reading about the significant women. But I do agree, to some extent. Why can’t we just focus on the important things and people, regardless of their gender?

  12. I don’t think they’re teacher has ever heard one of his students be that passionate before. XD I take it she went to an all girls school then?

  13. Katsuya says:

Squee!!!! Update!!!!! :D This has made my Friday! ^-^

Oh Charlie…if I ever teach history, I hope I have a student like you, lol.

  14. Morgan says:

    You go, girl!

  15. Seanan says:

    yessss go Charlie :)

  16. Lina says:

You’re back! Yay! I love the update :)

  17. Manda says:

    Three cheers for Charlie!

Good for her for speaking her mind. I bet she’s getting sent to the principle’s more for the swearing than the shouting (or at least, I hope so).

Good to see Dovecote’s still running! <3

  18. Jessie says:

Ohhh, this is too familiar. So glad for the update, too!

  19. Neva Sirenda says:

    Yay! More Dovecote!

I love the matter-of-fact way Charlie says “Principal’s office?” like this is a common occurrence. Apparently she has disagreements with her history teacher on a regular basis.

  20. xscythe7x says:

I miss Dovecote :( where did you guys go??

  21. Jessi says:

Oh man. That last panel. xD

I also agree with her some. Mention the important women, but don’t mention a woman to mention a woman. :-/

Someone threw out something an all-girls school…. Can you have a guy teacher at an all-girls school? (That’d be kind of creepy >__>)

  22. Lizzy says:

    What! No more comic?nnnarrrrgggggggggggh!

  23. Jago of the 7 knives says:

I do believe Charlotte got sent to the Principal’s office cause of the shouting. Definitely not the S-H-I-T part.
