I would’ve liked to know where Charlie was going in the second to last panel.
Both of their arguments are weak here. Atoms and Gravity have evidence for their existence. And Tess hasn’t even TRIED to see ghost, by going up to the attic or something.
She was probably going to say something along the lines of “They believe that they exisit and are indeed spirits of the dead but forbid us from contacting them and tell us that if we ever meet one that we should treat them lie strangers with candy and run in the other direction until we find a police man. Only instead of a policeman we should find a priest so he can exorcise the crap out of it.” :D Although to be more accurate I don’t believe that they have an official stance on ghosts as in spirits of the dead. Demons, yes. Evil spirits, naturally. Dead Relatives, no comment.
… I had a Catholic school background too…
I know all about the whole ‘getting sidetracked by explaining religion’ thing. I think Charlie did an admirable job catching herself when she did… I would not have been able to. You’d see me still explaining for another three pages before I remembered.
yea… as someone who also went to catholic school I’m VERY used to these kinds of discussions. Every page makes me love this comic more and more

Especially since the ghost is thoughtful enough to appear when bidden.

Haha, Tess looks so wonderfully smug in that last panel :) Great job with that!
Haha, ooh, catholic jokes. I represent all of the catholics in saying, “Thank you!”…we love to make fun of ourselves. :)
Its true, a favorite pastime of mine as well.
here here!
Amen!
Indeedy-o!
(tho technically I’m non-denominational but WHATEV.)
Tess’s face in the last panel totally shows that she just pwn’d Charlie.
Tess rocks. The end. :)
Pwning Charlie seems to be all in a days work for Tess anyhow.
Charlie’s just so dopey :)
Charlie’s face near the end = fantastic.
Heh, I’m with Blair on this one. As I’m the only Catholic in most of my classes, no one gets my religion jokes.
Ha, ha! Look at the smugness of Tess’s face in the last panel! It cracks me up! Charlie should simply face it–she’s been fully and thoroughly pwn’d.

are you kidding me? we never talked about such things in theology!
maybe mr haster loved you guys more…
Still one of my favorite pages. :D I love Charlie. I wouldn’t have been able to stop myself from explaining though…
