sooo cloooose

GUYS this arc is almost done! Now that school is over and I’m home, I’m hoping to finalize the ending in the next couple of days, and then start chatting with Bridget about what’s coming next. :)

Thank you guys so much for putting up with all the delays, especially here at the end of the semester… I’m hoping to get way more of the story actually scripted in advance next time, like I did with the first arc, which will prevent those missed comics due to me not sending Bridget the scripts until like 11pm the day before…

So anyway! Onward to the final chunk! Thank you all for all your amazing comments and for sticking with us and everything!

Wow, it’s almost done already? D: It’ll be sad to see the end! But great to see a new beginning. :)

Have a great time off. My daughter just got back from college for the summer, and it’s so good to have her home. Enjoy your families, and rest up your brains to come back all refreshed for the Fall.

    Bridget and Hailey,

I’ve been devouring your comic for the last couple of months. You are so, so good at this and I’m enjoying the story hugely. I’m a Civil War reenactor, and this is such an accurate representation of what it’s like to be out there. It makes it even funnier to me because I’ll look at a panel and go “Yep, know that guy,” or “Heh. Happened to me last Saturday…” I especially liked this latest page, becasuse of the intensity of the guys faces with the late light falling golden on them, and the way the smoke curls. You’ve suspended time for a moment. It’s magic.

I just wanted to thank you tell you how awesome you are, and how envious I am that y’all get summer vacation still. Ah, the sorrrows of the graduated… Have fun, and I’ll be waiting with bated breath for more :)
