uh-oh…

From a movie review in today’s New York Times:

“[The main girl's first boyfriend sucks, blah blah blah.] Also, his name is Jeremy, and the laws of Hollywood dictate that no romantic comedy heroine will ever wed a high-achieving Jeremy…”

Though I don’t know if we could actually call Jeremy “high-achieving” so much as “a giant nerd.”

Hopefully his giant nerdiness will save them. :)

  3. Bernice says:

Pah, who cares about the Laws of Hollywood.

    Jeremy FTW!!

  4. Bridget says:

This is why we need to make a Dovecote movie. Breaking the Laws, yeah!

    Haha, what movie was it?

  6. Wynne says:

pshh… Charlie’s not the type to follow some silly Hollywood Rom-Com law… Unless it involves Clark Gable, of course.

All these New York Times references! You might be the only college student I’ve heard of besides my brother who does that. Do you like to read the print edition? If so, can my brother date you? Because he needs another New York Times junkie that’s his own age.

lol, technically he could be a high-achieving giant nerd. I’d wed Jeremy :D Its so difficult to find goodlooking history geeks these days *deep sigh*.

  8. Jen says:

We forget temporarily that Charlie is also a major geek, and thus wouldn’t fall into the typical Hollywood heroine stereotype to begin with. :)

  9. Mercy says:

Giant nerd. You say that like it’s a bad thing.
